Privacy Policy

Effective: June 2026
WebPulse stores all data locally in your browser. Nothing is ever sent to a server. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party services.

What we store

WebPulse stores the following data in your browser's IndexedDB:

No personal identifiers, passwords, page content, or form data are ever read or stored.

Where your data lives

All data is stored exclusively in your browser's IndexedDB under the extension's origin. It never leaves your device. It is not synced to any cloud service, not backed up to any server, and not accessible to any website or third party.

What we do not do

On-device AI

WebPulse can use Gemini Nano — Chrome's built-in AI model — to categorise websites that are not in its built-in rule map. This feature runs entirely inside Chrome on your device. No network request is made; no data is sent to Google or any other party.

How to delete your data

Open the WebPulse dashboard, go to the Settings tab, and click Wipe all data. This permanently deletes all stored entries from IndexedDB.

Uninstalling the extension also removes all stored data, as Chrome clears the extension's storage on uninstall.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
